YELLOW CARPET >>>>> SAMAS 2011

Let me guess, you prolly thought we wouldn't hit you with a lil something about the SAMA's right, eeerrr you thought wrong. So i attended the SAMAS on Saturday the 22nd of May, well im not gonna talk much about the disorganization of the event blah blah. That is not our job, our job is to tell you who wore what and how, right? Right! I thank you, as you were.

Can i please take a moment to laugh before i go on, hahahahahahahahahaha *flashback*...Thank you! The yellow carpet is always filled with laughter guys i promise, the outfits i witnessed this weekend, wow. But unfortunately or should i say fortunately we don't diss people's swag on this blog, we do not speak about people on negative light. Putting people down is not our forte. Anywhooo enough of the emotional yada yada lets get into it....

Style Muse: Christine Centenera

Christine Centenera is a Fashion Editor *who stole my JOB* at Harper Bazaar (Australia), freelance stylist and part-time Dj...the way i absolutely adore her  effortless style.....can someone say *STYLE CRUSH*
This style icon has become very populor amongst fashion and style blogs worldwide for her impeccable style and always being photographed by Grance Dore and Scott Schuman of "The Sartorialist" fame.
Her unique eye for detail lets her experiment with different textures, mutiple layers and of cause interesting shapes. Christine's trademarks include leather pants/shirts, statement jackets, tight jeans that she recycles but still looks fashion forward. She has the most amazing killer heels, she self confessed that she is a NO flat shoes wearing girl..tjo IMAGINE....apparently she has an extremely high instep that causes her not to be able to wear flat shoes...Shem!!!!!

I have posted my favorite pics of my style crush and hopefully she will be an inspiration to your closets.
Love her Givenchy shoes
Prada statement necklace with a sheer blouse.
Burberry studded leather jacket with boyfriend Ksubi jeans
Isabel Marant fur Jacket with a pair of slouchy Josh Goot pants topped with zebra-stripped Christian Louboutins
Statement jacket by Balmain and cut-off Ksubi denim shorts

Black tux jacket and Celine pants
How amazing is the  denim shirt, tux vest and leopard print combo??
So what do you think about her style is she a style icon in your books??????

** PIC of the Day **

OMG.......So apparently it takes like 6 - 15 people to make a Chanel bag and up to 18hrs of work goes into making them, talk about paying attention to detail. I wouldn't mind making these bags if it meant i would own them all *wishfull thinking* ja ne for the LOVE of CHANEL.

COLOUR BLOCKING.....The New CRAZE!!!!!!!

Its not the "newest" but definitely the most eye-popping trend this season and its called ----->>>> COLOUR BLOCKING.....* SCREAM*
The thougt of all those bold colours can confuse and give you an impression that complicated styling is involved.NEWSFLASH: its so easy and don't even have to break your bank acc or go on a major shopping spree *whew*. The trick is to create an explosive colour story by combining two or more colours, of which you should have from previous seasons that compliment each other to create a block of colours for a dynamic, confident look. Always accessorize your look with nudes and very basic make-up unless you want to look like chico-the clown..lmao

Runways are exploding with the lastest craze..from Gucci to Jil Sander you name it they are on it!!!!!

NOTE: its not for the faint hearted so if you are a shy one who would think they would look cray cray in this trend i suggest you start on a smaller scale with just accessories.

                                                       CELEBS WHO COLOUR BLOCK:

i LOVE the colour combo..so haute!!

If you think this look only works for females think again because males are incorparating colour in the wardrope like never before.

Totally love the mustard and blue  combination.

So lets ditch the boring dull colours and embrace this trend, it might just brighten your day **wink**

#Trending-----> Extra Large Clutch Bags

I absolutely die at this trend right here, the extra large/oversized clutch bags. These are super stylish, they have this relaxed, chilled thing about them while still keeping your look trendy and fashionable. They are great for daytime wear; because they have the capacity to carry all the items you use on a daily.  This is a fun way of carrying a clutch bag during the day without looking like a fool, because of its large size; there is no element of formality that has always been attached to the clutch. Hence the clutch could not be used as a day-to-day handbag, durr…lol!

Green flat oversize clutch.

Black croc fold-over clutch.

Chelsea envelope clutch.

Blue fold-over clutch.

Cream fold-over clutch.

This is definitely a growing trend. Very popular international, most of the celebrities in other parts of the world have jumped into the bandwagon. Lets hope our celebrities catch on quick-fast, **hides in Mpumalanga** he he he…

#Spotted: Chris brown's girlfriend,  model Karrueche Tran.

#Spotted: Mary Kate Oslen with a Miu Miu, pleated tie-dye clutch.

Love!Love!Love this leopard print. My absolute fav!!

I am so in love with this swag, I am on it allday errday, namean!! I love it. But… like every other trend soon there will a new one to replace this one. So if you gonna go out a buy some, I wouldn’t go crazy if I were you **wink** ......Thats it!!!
