Chanel x Resort 2014

Hello...My Fashion Lovers :)

Last week the extraodiare Karl Lagerfield decided to unveil the Chanel Resort collection in Dubai, on a  lavish private island on the 13th of May 2014. We all know he likes to do this over the top and this in my opinion is by far the most over the top event, like who rents a whole island just for a fashion show well Chanel did and they set the standard by far and defiantly the most valuable invite ever. I would have given my right lung just to crack that guestlist.

The Chanel Resort 2015 Show unfurled at dusk in a gold-and-glass structure, which was constructed just for this event and boasted a lattice of woodwork that held the Chanel logo in the traditional style of mashrabiya windows. Outside, the man-made island was blanketed in romantic candles and shisha tents, giving view to the incredible skyline of Dubai. Its roof supported by a forest of artificial palms, on a man-made island offering a view of one of the most futuristic skylines in the world.  “With the highest building, I thought there was a reason to show the highest fashion, ha-ha-ha-ha,” Lagerfield said during a fitting.

The show was kept very traditionally as to how the Arabs do things, the show began at dusk, and was the embodiment of Arabian Nights–the venue laden with cushions and low lantern-lit tables to reflect the relaxed Arab-style Majlis seating.

The collection is sheer luxury and exudes fashion-forward bohemian glamour with harem pants, hair brooches, mirrored accessories and nail-less gloves which of cause will be trending next summer.
I loved the satin pointy flats, abayah styled layers and obviously the gold quilted petrol can bag like who would have thought of such

I am sure that you loving this amazing collection

Thank you for reading and have a loving evening

The Spirit of Travel - Louis Vuiton's Ad Campaign in South Africa

Hi there

Hope your week is going well

Louis Vuitton has released their " over the top"  spring campaign set right here in the Mzansi. The ads, shot by Peter Lindbergh, star Karen Elson, Edie Campbell, a whole lot of Louis Vuitton bags, and a giraffe. A cheetah, lion cub, and a zebra which also make appearances in the ads, I am still flabbergasted that the images were not manipulated, amazing right? Would love to see more of such fashion campaigns/shoots from our very own magazines or brands

The campaign, titled "Spirit of Travel,"

Elson and Campbell traipse around in clothes from Vuitton's spring and resort collections and carry monogrammed bags that include two new styles, all handpicked by the campaign's stylist, Carine Roitfeld. Models are always in these awkward/scary poses, I can never imagine myself feeding a Giraffe so E.T style but then again I am not a model

I for one can not wait to see the ad on any issue

Lovely evening and thank you for reading

The Future in Fashion

Hey Fashion Lovers

Always thought events like Fashion Week came with strict rules and regulation one being leave your silver spooned kid at home with the help.
At this seasons New York Fashion Week the hottest of seats were occupied by minors who can not even tell the difference between the cirrus and cirrostratus clouds
but then again this is fashion and I can bet you these kids know everything from the correct pronouncing of designer names to who the editors are of various fashion magazines, training them while still smelling of breast milk hahaha.
One thing for sure is these kids have already made their mark in the fashion world and I can not wait to see what they will aspire to be

Below are my favourite toddlers spotted and Fashion Week

Haper Beckham
Victoria Beckham little gorgeous chubby checked daughter, was well behaved in her Chloe white sundress and chic top knot made the likes of Anna Wintour show some teeth which she is known not to do at all. A million toddlers would die just to sit next to Large Anna Wintour and be the centre of attention

ALAIA WANG

This 4 year -old fashionista is a regular at Fashion Week and is designer Alexander Wang's niece and has amazing street-style

Summer Chamblin

If I have a daughter one day she would be Summer Chamblin. This pint-sized fashionista understands fashion on all levels.  She is the daughter of  Stylist June Ambrose with whom she was also doing her Summer internship with and captured every moment via her Instagram page

What do you think of these fashion kids?

Happy hump day and thank you for reading

New York Fashion Week Streetstyle Snaps

Hey Guys

" Every year the women of New York leave the past behide and look forward to the future..this is Fashion Week "

You all know that September is like the January in the Fashion Industry and with that being said its obvious that designers want to showcase what they have been slaving and sweating all year on.

The thing that excites me the most is what is being worn in the streets, below are some streetstyle inspirations
